The Vigil

The Vigil sold: The Vigil, now in Dublin.
This piece worked in wool uses stitches from the sixteen century. It depicts a scene in a chapel where the knight before battle spends the time in prayer. The candle using modern Bargello work along with the rose window illuminate the scene.
